Yukiko Dove is a special educator, an autism mom, and the founder of NAMI Independent Living. She holds a Master of Education and has spent years in classrooms supporting students with developmental disabilities, alongside training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Long before she was a provider, she was a parent. Navigating the systems that surround disability services as a mother gave her an honest view of what works and what doesn't, what families really need, and the kind of care she wished had been easier to find.

NAMI was founded in 2024 to be that kind of care. A provider that holds professional expertise to the highest standard while still feeling like a trusted neighbor, one that sees the whole person and the whole family.

Yukiko leads a team that shares those values, supporting individuals and families across Northern Virginia with the warmth, respect, and steadiness that good care requires.
